New Site
Posted on August 05th at 01:16 PM

It just occurred to me that I never put anything about this up here. I started a new site that might interest any music fans amongst you. Bands4.us recommends new music to its users on a daily basis. Check it out!

HCM-EE Project!
Posted on May 06th at 05:01 PM

I have added a new project to the website. It is nothing extremely big, but might be of interest to those who enjoy cryptography. I created an application to demonstrate a new modification of the Hill Cipher known as HCM-EE, which is based on using a diagonal matrix and eigenvalues in conjunction with random permutations. It also has an over-the-top matrix theme! I wrote this in about two weeks for my Linear Algebra course.

New Page Added

Nothing too exciting to report; I just added a page of links to useful software and the such to the site.

Work on Project Pages is progressing well; see the ppages forums for more details on that. Still can't even guess at a release date, but the forums are styled and somewhat usable.

That's all for now

Quick CMS Updated!
Posted on July 09th at 10:46 PM

I made some minor modifications to Quick CMS today - I failed to deal with a few notifications that could come up in the original version, and in addition, URL forwarding did not work right if it was used on localhost. These problems have been solved in the new release. I also fixed a bug with cookies expiring way sooner than they should.

The new version has replaced the old for downloading. If you are upgrading a current release, just replace index.php and include.php. The installer was also updated but there is absolutely no reason you should need this for an upgrade. Make SURE you do not overwrite config.php however, or you will be upset.

Random update
Posted on May 23rd at 01:06 AM

If you tried to access the site in the past 24 hours, I am sorry that you were unsuccessful. Unfortunately due to a worm infecting all of the files on the server, I had to restore from a backup which proved to be more of a challenge than it was worth. I got Project Pages back up and running fairly quickly, but since I had to manually restore the backup the rest of the site took a long time to get back up.

Anyway it's back up now, and things should be good. I cleared out all of the news items except for the one about Quick CMS to get rid of the clutter.

I actually have gained some free time now, so expect me to start updating again. Most of my free time is going into developing the rewrite of Project Pages, however not all of my time is going to this. I am also putting some time into a relatively small project that may be of real use to some of you. It may be a while before this is finished entirely, because while at the concept level it is simple, it requires a good amount of development for a few platforms. More on this when it's closer to done.

Anyway the website is back up, and if you want more information on the downtime head over to the Project Pages forums.
